Hebrew Word Study: Enosh -mortal אֱנוֹשׁ
Genesis 37:15 And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?
I find this story really curious. Joseph was searching for his brothers to deliver a message from their father. This journey led to Joseph being thrown into a pit by his brothers, sold into slavery, thrown into an Egyptian prison and becoming the prime minister of the most powerful nation in the known world. All these event would not have happened had it not been for some unnamed man who found Joseph wandering in the field looking for his brothers and giving him certain directions to his brothers. Poor Joseph was lost but thanks to this unsung hero he put Joseph back on God’s path.Would you like Chaim Bentorah as your personal Hebrew teacher?
